InVino Fund

A unique eco & wine tourism fund dedicated to investing in the “next generation” of sustainable businesses (ESG) in the hospitality sector in Portugal. The Fund’s capital is intended for investment in companies or projects with high growth potential, optimizing the hospitality business through its integration with the wine and the agroforestry.

ESG:
Investing with Purpose

Aligning eco & wine tourism with the best ESG practices is one of the pillars of the InVino Fund, and therefore a mandatory criteria when choosing where to invest and how to operate. Sustainability practices are present at each stage of the projects and throughout the operations of the invested businesses.

Our Thesis,
Our Beliefs

InVino Fund invests in companies with the concept of transforming working farms and heritage sites (e.g., vineyards, olive groves, cork forest, manor houses) into sustainable resorts, offering a full eco & wine-based experience where guests will enjoy unique F&B hospitality based on a true “bio-farm to table” and perfectly adapted to the post-Covid world.

The developments shall be in line with the best sustainable practices and focus on generating impact, creating new jobs, balancing the social and regional asymmetries, preserving the nature and local heritage (e.g., culture, traditions).

In addition to the highly competitive target returns and positive sustainable impacts, investing in InVino Fund provides access to the exclusive benefits of the InVino Fund Investors Club and the opportunity for the much-desired European residence and citizenship through the Golden Visa program, which allows all family members free access to live, travel and work in Europe.

What are the main advantages of investing in a private equity fund (e.g., InVino Fund) to obtain the Golden Visa?

We present below the seven advantages of investing in the InVino Fund to obtain your Golden Visa.

  1. Governance & Compliance: a fund registered in Portugal is regulated by the following institutions / companies:

- Portuguese Securities Market Commission (CMVM);

- Fund management;

- Portuguese tax authority;

- Custodian & depository bank;

- Independent auditor.

In the case of InVino Fund, STAG Fund Management is the fund manager, Bison Bank is the custodian & depository bank and BDO is the independent auditor, providing some levels of auditing and compliance to ensure higher levels of protection and management in the investment and divestment processes.

  1. Simplified bureaucracy: the investment process essentially requires obtaining the tax number (NIF) and opening a bank account in Portugal. These procedures, along with the investment in the fund itself, can be done remotely, streamlining the process, with the seven steps illustrated in this LINK.
  2. Cost and tax efficiency: investment funds have reduced fees and fiscal benefits such as exemption from Income and Succession Tax (0% rate for both in Portugal).
  3. Exclusive benefits: access to the InVino Fund Investors Club, e.g., a complete wine experience ("wine club"), premium hospitality (exclusive agreements with renowned hotel brands), participation in ESG initiatives (environmental, social, annual assembly), and much more!
  4. Diversification: funds need to diversify their investments, which enhances results and reduces risk for investors.
  5. Potential gains in strong currency: private equity funds offer target returns above the market average in euros.
  6. Corporate management: as an investor, management is delegated to the fund manager, which must ensure / deliver all the compliance and governance via a professional management.
